Post House Virtual Tours Wins International Award
The Post House, an Eau Claire Video/360 Virtual Tour production and digital marketing company recently received a Gold Award of Excellence from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts’ (AIVA) Communicator Awards competition. The award was given for their entry in the mobile site/app category for an enhanced 360 virtual tour of The Ridges Sanctuary in Door County, Wisconsin. There were over 6000 entries from around the world.
With over 6000 entries from around the world, the 25th Annual Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Founded over two decades ago, "The Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.”
Other winners of the Gold Award of Excellence include companies and media firms such as ESPN Films, Forbes Media, and PepsiCo.
Don Byrne, the owner wanted to create a “virtual field trip” that would help non-profits and other conservation organizations promote, protect, and educate people about the State Natural Areas in Wisconsin using digital marketing and VR technology. Together with Drew Richmond, Development and Marketing Director at The Ridges Sanctuary, The Post House developed desktop and mobile versions of the tour that, according to Drew, is “the #1 most viewed page on our website by far”.
